Professional registration: Based on the Order of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 14.05.2020 № 627 (Annex 2) the journal is included in the List of professional editions of Ukraine (category "B") in the area of agricultural sciences (101 – Ecology, 201 – Agronomy, 202 – Plant protection and quarantine, 204 – Technology of production and processing of livestock products, 207 – Aquatic bioresources and aquaculture).
The journal is published for the decision of the scientific-coordination radius of the Kherson region of the Northern Scientific Center of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, which started the council of the Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University and the Presidium of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences since 1996.
Periodicity of publication: 6 times a year.

The purpose of the scientific journal "Taurida Scientific Herald. Series: Rural Sciences" is to publish the results of scientific researches in various branches of the agro-industrial complex.
The editorial board of the publication carries out an external and internal review of all articles that come to it. The journal's editorial board includes leading Ukrainian and foreign experts. The publication cooperates with the largest universities of Ukraine and abroad, state authorities and local self-government. Such cooperation involves the provision of information materials, the publication of scientific articles, the holding of conferences, discussions and round tables based on publication. The publication publishes scientific-theoretical and practical materials on current general theoretical and sectoral issues, as well as proposals for improving the agricultural production and economy of the country.
The editorial board makes the assignment DOI (digital object identifier) for articles.
The journal covers current issues of agrarian science by sections:
- agriculture, crop production, vegetable growing and melons;
- animal husbandry, fodder production, preservation and processing of agricultural products;
- land reclamation and fertility;
- ecology, ichthyology and aquaculture.
